Community Guidelines

BreadStack is built on one idea: spend with intention. These guidelines exist to keep the platform safe, fair, and focused on that mission.
✅ What We Expect
- Be honest. Provide accurate information when creating your account and linking your bank.
- Use it for yourself. BreadStack accounts are personal. Don't create accounts on behalf of others or share your card with people you don't trust.
- Protect your access. Keep your password and device secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Use shared envelopes responsibly. Shared envelopes are for people you trust. roommates, partners, family. Don't add people to shared envelopes without their consent.
🚫 What's Not Allowed
- Fraud or deception. Do not use BreadStack to launder money, circumvent financial controls, or make fraudulent purchases.
- Illegal purchases. The BreadStack card may not be used for illegal goods or services.
- Gambling. Using the card for online gambling or betting platforms is prohibited.
- Multiple accounts. Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent Free tier limits or receive promotional benefits more than once.
- Abuse of the parent portal. The parent funding feature is for legitimate parental financial support. not for collecting money from strangers.
- Circumventing envelope controls. Do not attempt to manipulate envelope balances through technical means.
🤝 Shared Envelopes
Shared envelopes let trusted people contribute to and spend from the same envelope. When using shared envelopes:
- Only invite people you know and trust
- Both parties are responsible for spending within the envelope
- Do not use shared envelopes as a payment collection mechanism for strangers
⚠️ Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- A warning and required correction
- Temporary suspension of card or app access
- Permanent account termination
- Reporting to relevant authorities for illegal activity
