Community Guidelines

BreadStack is built on one idea: spend with intention. These guidelines exist to keep the platform safe, fair, and focused on that mission.

✅ What We Expect

  • Be honest. Provide accurate information when creating your account and linking your bank.
  • Use it for yourself. BreadStack accounts are personal. Don't create accounts on behalf of others or share your card with people you don't trust.
  • Protect your access. Keep your password and device secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Use shared envelopes responsibly. Shared envelopes are for people you trust. roommates, partners, family. Don't add people to shared envelopes without their consent.

🚫 What's Not Allowed

  • Fraud or deception. Do not use BreadStack to launder money, circumvent financial controls, or make fraudulent purchases.
  • Illegal purchases. The BreadStack card may not be used for illegal goods or services.
  • Gambling. Using the card for online gambling or betting platforms is prohibited.
  • Multiple accounts. Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent Free tier limits or receive promotional benefits more than once.
  • Abuse of the parent portal. The parent funding feature is for legitimate parental financial support. not for collecting money from strangers.
  • Circumventing envelope controls. Do not attempt to manipulate envelope balances through technical means.

🤝 Shared Envelopes

Shared envelopes let trusted people contribute to and spend from the same envelope. When using shared envelopes:

  • Only invite people you know and trust
  • Both parties are responsible for spending within the envelope
  • Do not use shared envelopes as a payment collection mechanism for strangers

⚠️ Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

  • A warning and required correction
  • Temporary suspension of card or app access
  • Permanent account termination
  • Reporting to relevant authorities for illegal activity
